Qualifications, Education, and Experience
HRIS and payroll processing experience required
Excellent communication skills
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or organizational Development from a four year college: or five plus years related experience and/ or training
Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point) and Outlook email and calendar capabilities
Operational knowledge of basic office equipment such as copiers, scanners, fax machines, switchboard, etc
Exceptional time management and organization skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously establishing priorities to meet deadlines
Ability to communicate effectively (verbal, written, and presentations) with staff and external clients
Proactive; exercises sound judgment and decision making; able to identify problems and needs, and develop solutions and/or options
Excellent interpersonal skills
Self-confident, self-motivated polished professional who thrives in a challenging, fast-paced environment
Physical Requirements
Essential Duties:
Maintain and enhances the organizations human resources of a medium size manufacturing facility by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs and practices
Plans and coordinates new employee onboarding to foster positive attitude toward organizational objectives
Responsible for the investigation and administration of worker compensation claims and unemployment claims, record keeping and documentation
Interprets and applies company policies, benefits, practices, procedures, programs and applicable laws
Maintains records concerning personnel, performance appraisals and wage progression
Understands, follows and enforces all established policies, procedures and recognized practices
Serves as a liaison between management and employees by handling questions and assisting in the resolution of employee related issues
Analyzes training needs for employee development, including safety programs
Responsible for recruitment and in conjunction with plant supervisors selection and retention of hourly employees
Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are all in compliance
Advises, coaches and counsels management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues
Conduct employee exit interviews
Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures
Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill
Perform other duties as assigned
Maintains strict confidentiality and protects privacy of confidential/sensitive information
