At Hi-Tek Manufacturing, production of high-pressure aviation and land-based turbine engine blades is one of our core strengths.  We operate a large facility with approximately 125,000 square feet of manufacturing space that houses a large array of high end precision manufacturing equipment as well as a fully equipped quality assurance laboratory.  We have a team of technically educated manufacturing professionals who bring enthusiasm and a strong work ethic to each project to ensure we deliver the highest quality and most cost-effective solutions to our customers.

We manufacture turbine blades following a highly structured and controlled process. Lean manufacturing strategies govern the entire production cycle to ensure that operations are carried out in an organized, efficient, and quality-driven manner.  Constructed from high-temperature super alloys, we manufacture the most intricate turbine blade designs with geometrically complex internal cooling passages and cooling hole patterns.  Our engineers use sophisticated CAD/CAM systems, our tool and die professionals design and build custom fixtures and tooling, and our technicians use state-of-the-art machine tool equipment to ensure our products meet the highest standard of excellence.

At many stages of the production cycle as well as prior to packaging and shipment, we perform numerous test and inspection processes to verify the quality of the material and the blade structure.  CMM and optical inspections ensure that all dimensional aspects meet the design specifications, while processes such as dye penetrant inspection and radiography validate that the turbine blade has no cracks or surface defects. We have multiple flow stands and benches, all fully calibrated, to confirm products maintain precise airflow values.

With our advanced manufacturing methods, our turbine blades exhibit an exceptional level of quality.  We supply Stage 1, 2, 3, and 4 blades to major domestic and international gas turbine and airframe manufacturers. 

Continuous Improvement

Process Capability Measurement

As the Hi-Tek quality team populates customer requirements, process capability is the assurance of the repeatability of each manufacturing operation.

Laser Ablation

The use of laser ablation technology allows us to precisely clear the thermal coating, a much more precise process than _____ preventing us from having to ship the part to another facility mid-process

Turbine Root Form Grinding

Turbine root form grinding improves the surface integrity of the jet engine turbine blades by applying less residual stress. A reduction in stress results in extended fatigue life, allowing ground turbine parts to run faster and for longer periods than milled or broached products.

Metallurgical Lab

Hi-Tek has a met lab staffed with engineers that has decades of experience. Tests that are typically performed in the lab include failure testing, corrosion testing, chemical analysis, weld testing, and metallography

Sinker EDM

The sinker EDM process is largely used to create complex cavity shapes in tool and die applications. Such applications include metal stamping dies and plastic injection molds

Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) Welding

Many aerospace components produced by Hi-Tek require TIG welding. Multiple TIG welding stations are maintained and staffed by fully trained and certified welders using industrial certified equipment. In addition to Nadcap certification, Hi-Tek's TIG welding and weld repair if fully certified/approved by all of its aerospace prime customers.

Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI)

Hi-Tek maintains two full time Level III FPI inspectors that operate state-of-the-art equipment to ensure quality and compliance to specifications, drawings, and models

Fast Hole EDM

Electrical discharge machining, or EDM, is a reductive process that eliminates the need for a traditional tool head and all of the problems that come with it.  

Vertical Cylindrical Grinding

HI-Tek has Cylindrical Grinding capabilities for parts as tall as 42", outside diameters up to 42".  The X-Axis and Y-Axis have 36"x 36" travel with linear glass scales in all axes. The T-slot table is 36" in diameter, and the fully enclosed machine uses a single point dresser on the OD/ID grinding spindle.

Creep Feed Grinding

Our 10-continuous dress creep feed grinding machines utilized open structured wheels and robust coolant delivery systems to accurately and effectively remove super alloy material across complicated geometries found on fir tree / dovetail shapes as well as other surfaces.
