Airfoil machining demands more than mere precision. It's just as imperative to keep the process strictly controlled as it is to deliver a viable product. Hi-Tek Manufacturing offers a high-quality production strategy that makes it possible to design, refine, and execute turbine blades and airfoils that withstand the most stringent operating conditions.
Hi-Tek makes it simple to create components that go the distance. Our airfoil machining solutions power a diverse range of aviation, aerospace, and energy applications where product quality is an absolute necessity.
At Hi-Tek Manufacturing, production of high-pressure aviation and land-based turbine engine blades is one of our core strengths. We operate a large facility with approximately 125,000 square feet of manufacturing space that houses a large array of high end precision manufacturing equipment as well as a fully equipped quality assurance laboratory. We have a team of technically educated manufacturing professionals who bring enthusiasm and a strong work ethic to each project to ensure we deliver the highest quality and most cost-effective solutions to our customers.
We manufacture turbine blades following a highly structured and controlled process. Lean manufacturing strategies govern the entire production cycle to ensure that operations are carried out in an organized, efficient, and quality-driven manner. Constructed from high-temperature super alloys, we manufacture the most intricate turbine blade designs with geometrically complex internal cooling passages and cooling hole patterns. Our engineers use sophisticated CAD/CAM systems, our tool and die professionals design and build custom fixtures and tooling, and our technicians use state-of-the-art machine tool equipment to ensure our products meet the highest standard of excellence.
At many stages of the production cycle as well as prior to packaging and shipment, we perform numerous test and inspection processes to verify the quality of the material and the blade structure. CMM and optical inspections ensure that all dimensional aspects meet the design specifications, while processes such as dye penetrant inspection and radiography validate that the turbine blade has no cracks or surface defects. We have multiple flow stands and benches, all fully calibrated, to confirm products maintain precise airflow values.
With our advanced manufacturing methods, our turbine blades exhibit an exceptional level of quality. We supply Stage 1, 2, 3, and 4 blades to major domestic and international gas turbine and airframe manufacturers.
Heat Treatment and Brazing
Heat Treatment is the process of changing the microstructure of a metal using controlled heating and cooling cycles.
Brazing is an operation that uses a filler metal to join two metallic parts together at high temperatures.
