Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and or a Technical degree in Manufacturing or Industrial Technology, or related field and 7+ years of relevant work experience
Practical experience using CAD/CAM, Siemens NX or SolidWorks software knowledge preferred
Working knowledge of machine tools and their capabilities
Desire to develop automation for various machine tools and part handling systems.
Prior experience with complex shapes and their work holding requirements
Knowledge of mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
Proficient utilizing computer graphics, MS Excel/Office, and Project
Must meet the ITAR definition of §120.15 U.S. person

Essential Duties:
Hi-Tek Manufacturing has been in business for over 40 years and operates a state-of-the-art 125,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility. Based in northern Cincinnati, they focus on customer service and quality standards, and have grown to provide a full scope of manufacturing services for the gas turbine and aerospace industries, servicing all the major turbine engine OEMs. Hi-Tek sets the industry standard by providing highly engineered, complex component manufacturing and assembly utilizing state of the art machinery and processes.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the ME is responsible for analyzing engineering design documents and/or prototypes and makes plans/decisions concerning required methods, processes, tools, jigs, and fixtures required to produce a product or perform any required operations. May also make recommendations concerning personnel, time, and cost requirements. Must also route, schedule, monitor, and control special orders. Work requires the regular exercise of discretion and independent judgment.
Essential Duties and Tasks:
The Manufacturing Engineer provides hands on support on the manufacturing floor to develop new processes, improve existing processes, train and mentor machine operators and machinists and find solutions to manufacturing issues
Assist production control in routing and re-routing legacy components to ensure deliveries are met, which may include designing different manufacturing methods or utilizing different machining resources
Performs tooling layouts and concepts, including datum structures on intended machines
Assist in identifying or auditing root causes and corrective action of nonconforming parts
Investigate and participate directly in Material Review Board actions
Devise and implement continuous improvement ideas on all ongoing jobs
Assist in quoting projects that may require any or all the processing disciplines at Hi-Tek and the normal o/v items (i.e., shot peen, coating, brazing, etc.)
Setup and operate machines or processes required to process jobs per drawings and specs
Complete projects that consistently meet or exceed cost, schedule, quality, and customer specification requirements
Read and understand the blueprints and drawings of customer parts within the ME responsibility
Complete 1st article data to assure process or operation ready to release to the operator. Train operator as required by follow-on
Documents and establishes standards to incorporate engineering changes and improvements
Provide training resources and training instructions of set up procedures and machining processes for machinist
Participate in ongoing conversations with engineers, supervisors, and machinist to resolve any issues related to processes, quality, part completion, and customer satisfaction to aid in continuous improvement to eliminate operating problems, increase productivity, and improve product quality
Participate in the conception and design of complex work-holding/fixtures/gages
Assists Quality Department in identifying and correcting programming issues that lead to non-conformances
Provides time studies, router, and job cost review to ensure standards are up to date and in line
Create and or maintain documentation of all types as required
Follow work instructions, procedures, safety, and company policies as given
Dependability, integrity, cooperation and taking the initiative for work responsibilities and challenges are critical
Always take ownership and be accountable for your actions
Reliable attendance and a respectful demeanor are necessary
Follow all Hi-Tek policies and procedures, including the use of proper PPE

Non-Destructive Testing NDT Quality Inspector - Fluorescent Penetrant FPI Level I Level II Level III - 2nd Shift with Generous Shift Differential
Reporting to the Manufacturing Supervisor, the Non-Destructive Testing NDT Quality Inspector with a focus on Fluorescent Penetrant Level II or Level III inspections is responsible for conducting inspections on various components and materials to ensure they meet quality and safety standards. The NDT – FPI inspector will Interpret and evaluate test results in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and specifications while documenting and communicating inspection findings both verbally and in writing preparing detailed reports.


Manufacturing Supervisor - CNC Machining - Experience Required

EDM Wire Operator / Programmer - 2nd Shift, Includes a Generous Shift Differential!
Reporting to the Manufacturing Supervisor, this role will operate all Wire EDM / WEDM machines in the shop, operates CAD and CAM software, and create 2 & 4 axis programs using appropriate software. Fixtures work piece as necessary to facilitate machining. Maintains a necessary inventory of perishables, such as guides wire, filters, etc. This role will also load/unload parts, inspect parts using various precision measuring tools, accept or reject parts, and communicate any changes, both verbally and in writing.


CNC Machinist - 2nd Shift - Includes a Generous Shift Differential!
The 2nd Shift CNC Machinist, reporting to the Manufacturing Supervisor, is responsible for adhering to all procedures related to the various parts and equipment they are trained and certified to operate. This role involves loading and unloading parts to meet production demands, inspecting parts with precision measuring tools, and either accepting or rejecting parts based on quality standards. Experienced Maintenance Technician - 1st Shift
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing mid to expert-level break-fix and preventative maintenance tasks. Daily functions will be highly diversified and may include observing devices in operation to locate root cause of issue; dismantling machines to gain access to and remove defective parts; examine defective parts to detect cause, adjustment of functional parts of machines and control instruments; repair and/or replacement as needed, testing of machines to observe performance; and performing tests for electrical circuitry and mechanical systems; reconditioning and repairing machining tools; maintain, troubleshoot, or repair equipment according to safety, predictive, and productive maintenance systems, and processes to support the achievement of the organization’s business goals and objectives.
