
Qualifications, Education, and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree (B. A / B.S.) from a four-year college or university and/or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Familiarity with standard quality processes (FAI, PFMEA, PPAP, VCAR, corrective action, root cause analysis)
Experience performing under AS9100 quality standards and NADCAP accreditation required
Understand and apply GD&T, FMEA, Gage R&R, and Capability Analysis fundamentals as applicable
Proficiency with basic measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.)
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry
Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions in English
Must be able to clearly communicate information to others verbally and in writing in English
Ability to read mechanical prints
Working knowledge of machine tools and their capabilities
Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload
Must meet the ITAR definition of §120.15 U.S. person

Essential Duties:
Hi-Tek Manufacturing has been in business for over 40 years and operates a state-of-the-art 125,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility. Based in northern Cincinnati, they focus on customer service and quality standards, and have grown to provide a full scope of manufacturing services for the gas turbine and aerospace industries, servicing all the major turbine engine OEMs. Hi-Tek sets the industry standard by providing highly engineered, complex component manufacturing and assembly utilizing state of the art machinery and processes.
Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Quality Engineer is responsible for developing, applying, and maintaining a quality control system for processing materials to finished products. Develops and initiates methods and procedures for inspection, testing, and evaluation. Devises sampling procedures, supervises the design of forms for recording quality checks and prepares instructions for these procedures. Develops and implements methods and procedures to assess cost and responsibility for nonconforming products. May conduct training and write training manuals on quality issues.
Essential Tasks:
Provide a customer interface for product launch, problem resolution, and continuous improvement of products and processes
Evaluate discrepant hardware per customer quality requirements and submit to the customer for formal review and disposition
Assist in identifying or auditing root causes and corrective action of nonconforming parts while developing counter measures to solve problems
Investigate and participate directly in Material Review Board actions
Determine and implement Quality Alerts and Corrective Actions to prevent recurrence of escapes
Provide customers with data associated with NPI development (such as FAI, PFMEA, PPAP, etc.) as required by the customer
Perform source inspections and Workstation Audits as needed or scheduled
Submit and follow up with Vendor Corrective Action Requests (VCAR) for supplier-related quality issues
Generate instructions for final inspection and processing of manufactured parts and assemblies
Participate in Internal Auditing of the Quality Management System
Perform the quality portion of contract review and audit received Purchase Orders for changes in specification or quality aspects
Reviews quality trends to prevent or reduce defects, determine problem causes and initiate actions to provide permanent corrections
Provide support to Quality and Production including visual aids and inspection analysis
Review all design drawings and changes to ensure quality requirements are met
Assist with inspection, part, and vendor qualifications
Participate in ongoing conversations with engineers, supervisors, and machinists to resolve any issues related to processes, quality, part completion, and customer satisfaction to aid in continuous improvement to eliminate operating problems, increase productivity, and improve product quality
Provides recommendations to improve procedures that apply to Quality and productivity
Responsible to implement corrective actions such as changes to operation and Quality Standards for operations, installation of fixtures or gauging, changes in workstations and product flow, changes in inspection analysis and changes in process procedures
Provides time studies, router, and job cost review to ensure standards are up to date and are met as needed
Follow work instructions, procedures, safety, and company policies as given
Create and/or maintain documentation of all types as required

Industrial Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift -Experience Required
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing mid to expert-level break-fix and preventative maintenance tasks. Daily functions will be highly diversified and may include observing devices in operation to locate root cause of issue; dismantling machines to gain access to and remove defective parts; examine defective parts to detect cause, adjustment of functional parts of machines and control instruments; repair and/or replacement as needed, testing of machines to observe performance; and performing tests for electrical circuitry and mechanical systems; reconditioning and repairing machining tools; maintain, troubleshoot, or repair equipment according to safety, predictive, and productive maintenance systems, and processes to support the achievement of the organization’s business goals and objectives.
