Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED required
Must meet the ITAR definition of §120.15 U.S. person
2+ years of prior experience with visual, airflow, and dimensional inspections of aerospace/gas turbine components required
Experience working in a Quality System certified to ISO9001, AS9100, or Nadcap is a plus
Experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment, aerospace industry preferred

Physical Requirements
Physical Demand Levels:
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color perception, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. 20/20 vision (natural or corrected) required with the ability to pass the annual vision test as required.
Lift, push, and/or pull up to thirty-five pounds regularly
Operate overhead crane or other lifting equipment when necessary
Stand at least 50% of the scheduled shift
Walking or sitting as needed to perform job duties as assigned
Routinely perform reaching, twisting, bending, and grasping to move and set tools, equipment, and materials.
Essential Duties:
What You Will Do:
Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, the Airflow Quality Inspector is responsible for adhering to all policies and procedures related to the various parts and equipment for which they will be trained and certified to operate. Additionally, operators load and unload parts to meet production demands, inspect parts using various precision measuring tools, accept or reject parts, and communicate any changes, both verbally and in writing.
Analyze and interpret Op sheets, blueprints, mechanical drawings, and travelers to produce products that meet or exceed customer specifications
Verifies conformance of finished workpiece to customer specifications, using precision measuring tools and airflow equipment as necessary, such as borescopes, rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometers
Interpret geometric dimensions and tolerances to complete inspection as required
Clean parts using chemical degreaser and parts wash machine
Prep parts using foil tape and sealing wax
Perform and Document Scheduled Airflow test, including but not limited to Shut-off valve test, System leak test, and Flow restrictions test, and record results
Analyze and interpret test results
Load and unload parts for airflow, and or other testing as required
Perform and document the scheduled airflow test log and reports.
Documents actions by updating control charts, travelers, and reporting labor in the ERP system
Operate in accordance with AS9100 quality standards and NADCAP accreditation.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment by performing daily housekeeping duties.
Follow all Hi-Tek policies and procedures, including the use of proper PPE.
Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishment.
Effective communication and people skills to maintain a working relationship with Quality, Engineering, and Management
