Education, Experience, and Competencies:
High school diploma or GED required
Must meet the ITAR definition of §120.15 U.S. person
Wire EDM experience is required- a minimum of 3 years preferred.
Experience with tool and Die Blueprint reading preferred.
Understanding the different wire types, sizes, and operating parameters for best machine optimization.
Proficient knowledge and ability to perform manual G-code programming edits to improve the process.
A solid grasp of high school-level mathematics is necessary.
Experience with Mitsubishi controls preferred
Experience with Esprit Cam and or Siemens, NX software – Minimum 3 years preferred.
Experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment, with a preference for the aerospace industry.

Physical Requirements

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color perception, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. 20/20 vision (natural or corrected) required, with the ability to pass the annual vision test as required.
Essential Duties:
Essential Tasks:
Selects, aligns, and secures fixtures, wire, and workpieces on machines as necessary to machine parts as required.
Load and edit CNC programs as required.
Utilizes knowledge of rotary/linear axes and uses G and M codes.
Programming/operating/maintaining Wire EDM utilizing knowledge of working properties and processes for a variety of materials.
Develop and implement process recommendations to improve efficiency and optimize programs and processes, resulting in defect-free parts.
Verifies the conformance of finished workpieces to customer specifications, utilizing precision measuring tools and equipment as necessary.
Document actions by updating control charts, travelers, and ERP labor reporting.
Clean the work tank, table, and wire path pulleys on a daily basis.
Analyze and interpret Op sheets, blueprints, mechanical drawings, and travelers to produce products that meet or exceed customer specifications.
Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishment.
Follow all Hi-Tex policies and procedures, including proper PPE.
Maintains a safe and clean work environment by performing daily housekeeping duties.

The 2nd Shift CMM Technician, reporting to the Shift Supervisor, is responsible for adhering to all policies and procedures related to the various parts and equipment they are required to operate. This role involves inspecting production, prototype hardware, and manufacturing components using a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM). Additionally, CMM Technicians are responsible for loading and unloading parts, inspecting them using various precision measuring tools, making decisions to accept or reject parts, and effectively communicating any changes both verbally and in writing.


CNC Laser Operator - 2nd Shift, Includes a Generous Shift Differential!
Reporting to the shift supervisor, the 2nd Shift CNC Laser Operator is responsible for operating CNC laser equipment in a manufacturing environment to execute cutting, drilling, welding, and ablation processes.


Manufacturing Electrical Controls Engineer, On-Site
Reporting to the Manufacturing Technology Manager, the primary responsibility of the Manufacturing Electrical Controls Engineer is to analyze, control, modify, and execute programs for CNC machine controllers. You will also assist in defining the electronic control requirements for CNC equipment and will plan for programming controls to prevent data loss due to power outages. Additionally, this role includes implementing measures to protect data and interfacing with all machine and equipment upgrades or additions.

Experienced Maintenance Technician - 1st Shift
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing mid to expert-level break-fix and preventative maintenance tasks. Daily functions will be highly diversified and may include observing devices in operation to locate root cause of issue; dismantling machines to gain access to and remove defective parts; examine defective parts to detect cause, adjustment of functional parts of machines and control instruments; repair and/or replacement as needed, testing of machines to observe performance; and performing tests for electrical circuitry and mechanical systems; reconditioning and repairing machining tools; maintain, troubleshoot, or repair equipment according to safety, predictive, and productive maintenance systems, and processes to support the achievement of the organization’s business goals and objectives.


Tool / Fixture Maker - 1st and 2nd Shift Available!
The Tool/Fixture Maker, reporting to the Toolroom Supervisor, specializes in the construction, repair, maintenance, and calibration of machine shop dies, jigs, fixtures, and gauges. This role involves operating various machine tools and performing highly skilled tasks, including laying out, fitting, and assembling parts. The position may require significant development work, along with precise fitting and adjustments. At times, the Tool/Fixture Maker may need to create tools when no design exists. This work is typically performed independently, without relying on others.
